I Måneskin tornano con il nuovo singolo inedito Mammamia, prima anticipazione dal secondo capitolo di Teatro d’ira. Inizia un nuovo corso per la band dopo il grande successo internazionale di quest’anno.
I Måneskin hanno annunciato l’uscita del nuovo singolo Mammamia (pre-save disponibile qui), in radio e streaming dall’8 ottobre, primo brano totalmente inedito dopo la vittoria all’Eurovision 2021 e il successo di pubblico e critica esploso subito dopo. Il singolo farà da apripista al successore di Teatro d’ira – vol. I (acquistalo qui), album su cui la band è a lavoro già da alcuni mesi. Mammamia nell’estetica è un chiaro omaggio al rock’n’roll anni ’70 (“rock’n’roll never dies!”), a cui si sono già avvicinati con l’ultimo lavoro discografico. Il 7 ottobre (ore 9 pm CEST) ci sarà un pre-listening party per chi fa il pre-save del singolo su Spotify e Apple Music. Si terrà in 17 città del mondo, tra cui Milano e Roma.
Irriverente e sopra le righe, MAMMAMIA racchiude, in chiave rock, tutte le sensazioni della band dopo l’esperienza da vincitori all’Eurovision, su una melodia che rilegge il precedente singolo I wanna be your slave. L’emozione del debutto ha lasciato il posto all’euforia, a un entusiasmo in senso etimologico: come in un rituale dionisiaco, invitano alla condivisione del loro momento di successo globale “spit your love on me, I can’t wait to drink your rain”. Non manca il riferimento alle accuse infondate mosse nei confronti di Damiano “They wanna arrest me but I was just having fun, I swear that I’m not drunk and I’m not taking drugs“. Molto divertente anche il video splatter, che si sviluppa dall’idea del testo “too fucking hot” e ironizza sull’atteggiamento da superstar del frontman della band, “colpevole” nella clip di rubare la scena.
